About This Blog

Here's the more interactive and fun side of what goes on behind the pictures taken for Luxe Photography. As a photographer, you hope that out of the hundreds of pictures you've taken, you have at least one that stands out...that tells a story. These are my pictures as well as stories to share with you. We operate out of St. Charles, Missouri but we have clients throughout the St. Louis area.

Zoo Shots

I'm not sure there is a better place for pictures than the St. Louis Zoo right now, early Spring! Hundreds, if not thousands, of tulips in full bloom give anyone wanting to bring along their camera a little bit of everything to shoot. This past week, we found the zoo looking a bit like this:

This is my oldest son being thrown in the middle of the tulip explosion...he was a good sport for daddy that day.

I tried finding different pictures this go round at the zoo. For example, this is one of the few times I've actually seen the rhino walking about.

Over in the River's Edge area, either I've overlooked these little chipmunk-Ewok things before, or I've been too focused on the cheetahs that are in the same area.

Now, I've had a few pictures of our favorite jaguar before, but this time it was under perfect weather conditions for pictures - overcast and cool. I tried to narrow down to just one as a favorite to post, but I like all three of these.

But I guess if I had to choose one, it would be this one...it makes me feel as if I sort of captured this one in the wild...at least that's what I tell myself when I see it.
