About This Blog

Here's the more interactive and fun side of what goes on behind the pictures taken for Luxe Photography. As a photographer, you hope that out of the hundreds of pictures you've taken, you have at least one that stands out...that tells a story. These are my pictures as well as stories to share with you. We operate out of St. Charles, Missouri but we have clients throughout the St. Louis area.

Bike Riding the Katy Trail

I've decided it's time to start exercising! I'm not saying how much exercise, but just that I need to do SOME exercising. Wednesday and Friday's are the days my boys go to school and I have been using those days as my processing days - and general get stuff done days - for Luxe. I think I'm going to squeeze in some weekly bike riding also on those days.

Not only do I need to trim some excess baggage on my persons, but I need to get out and shoot more. Ah, the fix! Drag my camera gear with me when I ride! That's what I did today. Albeit without a helmet (I forgot). Also, my camera gear was in a backpack (not the safest). And I was wearing an Ipod while riding (really not safe). But, I was having a great time - doesn't that negate everything else?

Here are some pics I took today...meet my little turtle friend I ran across (not literally)... Mr. Brownie, the horse - he lives next to the Katy Trail and I just made up that name...and some other random pictures. In total, my body feels like I rode 50 miles. Reality came back to check in at 10 miles total. Not bad for me.

I think some people thought I had fallen off my bike. I was laying flat on my stomach in the middle of the trail taking pictures of the little turtle. Of course, he was probably trying to get across as fast as he could, and here I was holding him up. After moving on, I noticed there weren't too many people out. The trail can get busy at times, but today was perfect. Perfect weather. Perfect conditions. It pretty much just looked like this.

Here's Mr. Brownie - I need to find out his real name :)

Odds and ends at the end of the trip.
